Farm marks Victoria Day

Surrey’s Historic Stewart Farm will hosts its annual Victoria Day celebration Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy on the scenic grounds. A tea garden on the lawn recalls the days of the Empire, with lemonade, ice cream and the Queen’s birthday cake for all visitors. Croquet, badminton and children’s games make this a family event.

The highlight of the day will be colourful performances by the Vancouver Morris Men from 1 to 3 p.m. Morris Dancing is a type of traditional English folk dance, dating back 500 years.

Historic Stewart Farm is located at 13723 Crescent Rd. Suggested admission is $2 for an adult, $1 for a child, $5 for family. For details, call 604-502-6456.
